Did not go to Takehara today cause our friend woke up late as he slept at 3am on Friday night and could not wake up on time. In the end, we went to Hiroshima Bus Centre to buy my express bus ticket to Tokyo. I will be leaving Hiroshima on the 20th (Thursday) evening and will stay in Tokyo until Sunday evening before taking the overnight bus back to Hiroshima again.
FYI, a 2-way bus ticket costs 21,200円 (~S$280) while plane and Shinkasen is approximately 36,000円 (~S$475).
The bus journey is 11 hours long! (Same time as taking bus from Singapore to Kelantan or Kedah! Haha!) Hence I must definitely sleep on the bus so as to conserve my energy and maximise my stay in Tokyo!!!

Other than the ticket, today's weather was the warmest by far. The temperature is just like Genting Highlands and even Claire don need to wear her jacket when we went to buy grocery in the morning. :)
The night ended with me going to Kaikan for the Honkan meeting while Caire went for a free movie as our colleague got 2 complimentary tickets...
Shall go Takehara tomorrow as it will be the last day the dolls are on display...

Oh no! Broke in 8 days? That means the following 22 days will be difficult?
Land transport in Japan is expensive. Are you travelling during the Seishun-18 Kippu season? I know that this ticket can cut costs, but limts one to the slow trains only.
Now I know why Japanese tourists can pay for 1st-class full-price tickets in Switzerland. The quality & frequency is like at home, but the price is definitely very different.
