6th Week - Thursday (140208) Valentine's Day!

Went to YMCA in the morning to attend company's quarterly's meeting. My sup gave a presentation but it's in japanese. Had to use a translator kit to understand the contents of the whole meeting... Even met my senior there but just had a brief chat after the meeting as he rushed back to the office...

Went YMCA to attend company meeting...

Peace exhibit outside YMCA...

During lunchtime, Claire jioed me to go to the shopping centres around our office to look at the Valentine's Day chocolates. (Met our colleagues at the ground floor and had to turn them down for the lunch walk!) During the walk walk, I saw so many different types of chocolates and cakes than I have seen in Singapore! The japanese are very particular about packaging and everything was wrapped in beautiful boxes!!! We then saw some counters offering some chocolates to sample and we straightaway tried it. It was really so nice that we just kept on looking for anywhere that's offering samples! Hehe...

This cake is too good to be real! Haha...

Can't bear to eat this up right?

1 slice cost you S$11...

Trying out all the different chocolate samples!!! =)

We shopped the cakes and chocolates section of 3 departmental stores before meeting by chance one of our colleagues from another department. She wanted to treat us to some cakes and told us to choose. In the end, I chose a strawberry creampuff and she paid for us before going to buy herself lunch as she got a meeting at 1pm. What a generous lady!!! We continued to walk for a while before returning back to office.

Heart-shaped strawberries!!!

This melon cost S$270. Crazy...

Wow! Just look at the pastry...

A strawberry cream puff from my colleague. :)

Then at 5pm plus, another colleague from another department gave me a slice of cake to celebrate Valentine's Day! Wow! I was so surprised cause I don't usually celebrate this occasion in Singapore but I could felt their warm-heartedness and thoughtfulness in saving one slice for me. =)

Received another slice of cake from another colleague!!! Yummy!

Then towards the end of the day, I received another work assignment to do for this Sat (cause last Monday was a public holiday here in Japan and so we need to make up on the following Sat). Think this assignment will keep me busy for the next week or so. Haha...

I continued my work and stayed in the office till 8.15pm to prepare for tomorrow's morning meeting as well as reading up some notes for tomorrow's training course before heading back home to rest and do other stuff...

And before I forget, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY PEOPLE!!!
