Worked as usual in the office today, with more readings and notes to read... :)
At 6.30pm, went to Mensing-san's house instead of the usual Kotake for my second zadankai. Her house was really packed with people when we entered!!! (There should be at least 30 people inside her house. :))
First up was the MDs. They gave a quiz to the audience on Singapore since Claire and I were the special guests. Hashimoto-san asked about whether Singapore was a republic, a communist or a kingdom, the Singapore flag, Singapore's population as well as Singapore's national anthem.
Think there were some qns that the audience don know...
Next was the WDs. They presented a song to everyone and the tune was very lovely...

WDs presenting a song...
Then came the YMDs turn. Firstly, Atsu-san dragged me up to introduce myself and Claire and asked about my feelings towards Gakkai in Japan. I spoke in english for this part and Kondo-san and Claire helped me to translate in jap. Then they went on to share about Febuary's struggle and Sensei's shakubuku efforts when he was a young district leader.
After this came the YWDs part. They also gave a quiz about fruits fact and apparently, I do not know a lot of them. haha...
Then it was my turn. I stood up and shared with everyone about Mrs Ikeda's orchid that the Orchid Assocation of Singapore named after her in japanese (Thanks Kiyo for the translation... hehe...) But I have to apologise to them for my slow and word by word reading... Haha... In the end, I presented 30 sets of SSA Mrs Ikeda's postcards and 10 SSA notebooks to everyone and passed it to Hashimoto-san first.
Me with the YMDs and MDs...

Claire with the YWDs and WDs...

Me with the WDs and their children...
After the meeting, which ended at 8.45pm (meetings usually starts at 7pm here), Hashimoto-san and wife brought us to eat yaki tori again. Yeah!!! We got to meet one of the waitress whose boyfriend is a japanese but is now working in Singapore!!! She spoke fluent english and helped us translate some of the things that Hashimoto-san had difficulty expressing in english. I think you will wanna puke when you read the following but the waitress told us that I looked like a typical japanese. Hontoni??? Even Hashimoto agreed... Haha... We chatted and laughed till around 10pm before we went home...
Back in the apartment, I was transfering some of the cooking utensils between my room and Claire's cause she need them more than me and I need the rice which was in her room. At the same time, she was cooking lunch for tmr and it includes chicken breast meat, cabbage and fried rice. She also prepared egg sandwich! (What a good spread!) We were preparing to go to a children's science centre tmr and watch something like our omni-threatre in Singapore and decided to have our lunch there... :)
The ingredients for the egg sandwich...
Looks and taste nice!!!
At around 12 midnight, we finished cooking and I headed back to my room for a shower and some sleep...

Nope, there's no celebration for my one month stay in office (and I don't think no one knows about it. Haha...) Today was quite special as my collague brought us to the Mazda Plant to attend our training course. The whole place was so huge with so many different facilities and people. Too bad no photos for it as it's a restricted area...
This can of dried durian has been in the office for 1 month now and nobody eats it. So I took the whole can with me. Haha!!!

As it melts in your mouth, it tastes and smell just like the original!
Reached back to office at 4pm plus and continued doing my work. Stayed in office till around 8pm and decided to recce my way to the airport! (this idea just popped into my mind suddenly!) It took me 35 minutes to cycle from my office (past my apartment) to the airport. Upon reaching, I was disappointed to find out that it was closed and the airport was really really small! Maybe it was the same size (including the airfields) as our Terminal 1's building. Now I'm starting to miss Changi Airport. Hehe... There was nothing much to see and the whole area was very quiet, like a dead town. Hence, I cycled back just after 5 minutes and slowly explored the surrounding areas on my way back... :)
