4th Week - Saturday (020208) Grocery Shopping!

Came out at 9.30am today to check out the prices of the groceries in the cheap mart near our apartment. This shop is called Mama-chen and it opens from 9am to 6pm on weekdays and hence we don have the chance to visit it on weekdays. But when we reached there, the shop assistant told us it was only open from 10am on Sats and closed on Suns. WhaT? Hence we decided to cycle to another mart which I discovered during my recce trip last Thursday to Hiroshima Port and postpone the morning jap class (which starts at 10am) to the 1pm afternoon class.
It took us 30 minutes to reach that mart, called Aeon and along the way, we stopped by 2 more other marts. We bought a lot of stuff, from oranges to bananas (I deprived of fruits!!!) to jam to 4 loaves of bread and even 10kg of rice!!! (It costs 2480yen = S$32.60 for 10kg and is the cheapest after all the marts we have visited!). We had to tie the rice to the back of my bicycle and cycled quite a distance home! Haha! We were so unstable in our bicycles (with rice at my back and bread on my front and Claire has a lot of dangling stuff on her bicycle too! that) that we thought we might fall off anytime... Hehe... It took us 40 minutes to reach back to our apartment in the small drizzle.
Beautiful flowers isn't it?
Yeah! Finally found the 88yen bread!
Bought 4 loaves of bread at one go!
Cycling back with all our "Barang Barang"...
But since we came back at 1pm and drenched, we decided to skip today's jap class. Oops! As I rested, Claire cooked our lunch and this time she prepared vege, 2 days of seasoned chicken meat and onion-egg! Delicious! It looks like a Singapore style mixed vege rice and she prepared a bigger serving for me this time like the amount I usually have when I'm in Singapore! Yeah! :)
Very filling lunch!!!
After lunch, it was 3pm and we were meeting Hashimoto-san and wife for dinner later at 7pm. In between, Angel called my apartment phone, saying he will reach Hiroshima City at midnight tonight. (Cause he's staying in Yamaguchi Prefecture and will come Hiroshima often on weekends to visit his friend who opens a restaurant). I agreed to meet him at midnight at the Genbaku-dome (A-bomb dome) to collect my photos and he will bring me to a pub or something to chat...
