3rd Week - Friday (250108) Tiring Day!

Attended a meeting in the morning. Was quite fruitful as we sawsome light in the development of our project but still a long way before the upper management gives the green light.

Then at 11.40am, I informed my supervisor and the rest of the colleagues that it was time for lunch! Haha!!! They were so engrossed in their work that they actually forgot we got a lunch together! My side headed to the restaurant first as Claire's side was waiting for their collegues to gather. We walked for 5 minutes and entered into this bar district which my supervisor told me not to come at night. Hmmm, so dangerous meh?
We then waited for everyone to arrive before starting our Italian meal. I sat beside Claire as usual and we chatted with our colleagues. Before the start, my supervisor asked me to prepare a speech to speak after the meal. But towards the end, due to the time constraint and busy work schedule of everybody, we left after our last course. I even had to swallow my coffee and rushed off. Haha...

Me and Claire took time off in the afternoon to collect our Foreign ID Pass, opening of bank and internet account! Finally!!! But since Claire forgot to bring her documents, we cycled back to our apartment first. This was the first time that I actually cycled in the afternoon and it feels very refreshing with the sun shining and the cold wind blowing at you at the same time. I really liked it a lot. :)
It took us 15 minutes to cycle and squeeze our bikes through the city centre to reach the Foreign Immigration office. From there we handed in our forms and straightaway, the person gave us our IC. Have been waiting for this card for too long liao. Haha... Next we just cycled down the street to the bank to open our bank account. And since we have filled in the form previously, we just submit it back to the lady again, together with our IC. The whole process took around 30 minutes cause we still need t fill in some portions of the form and listen to other explanations. But it was always Claire who did the talking as I could not understand fully what the lady was saying. But from what our office colleagues say, there would always be someone from our office who would bring the interns to open the account but with Claire's proficiency, think they just throw us into the pit hole and let us survive ourselves...

And after that, we cycled to Hondori to subscribe for Internet. This was the most hardest and challenging task of all. The procedure was so different from that in Singapore. After filling in the form, they will send it to the network operator. Then we will receive our starter pack with our account no on it. Next we must go down to the shop and ask them to call the operator for some reasons which I still don understand. Then we will receive our modem and wires by courier and bookhave to book another appointment with another operator to come our room to set it up for us. They gave us some free services but only for one month or two and then we must go somewhere (stated in the papers) to cancel them after that. We will pay our bills at 7-11 stores, which is new to me and one good thing is that we get 2 months of Internet free from their promotion and we will only pay for May and June. But we have to wait till end of Feb to receive it. Haiz... Claire and I had a very hard time communicating with the counter guy as he talked so fast and kept introducing new terms from the contract. In the end, he also gave up and called for one jap person who could speak english to act as the translator. At least now it's better, if not, I would have really vomitted out blood...

I reached back to office at 4.30pm and there were lots of work waiting for me! Got a last minute meeting at 6pm and after it ended, was already 7pm. Then I stayed back to finish up on 2 reports and was working on the 3rd one when the last person from my floor is leaving. So I have no choice but to leave with him. I feel like I was competing with the managers to see who leave office the latest but I think I won today cause I still haven't finish my work yet. Hehe...

Reached back to my apartment at 9.30pm and had my dinner while watching X-men 2. It was so strange to hear Wolverine, Storm and the rest speak in Japanese but I just watched while eating...

And ya, will be going snowboarding tomorrow morning. Will be meeting my senior at 6am at the front entrance of our apartment block, which means me and Clarie have to wake up at 5am later. I'm too tired to be excited about the trip now and I will be sleeping all the way to the resort tmr morning ba. But hopefully not! Well, I have less than 5 hours of sleep now and really, いま つかれました!Need to sleep soon, if not, I might even miss the trip tmr morning!!! Good night for now!
